According to reports, Tata Consumer Products Ltd (TCPL) will acquire Bisleri International for an estimated Rs 6,000-7,000. According to an Economic Times (ET) report, Bisleri International Chairman Ramesh Chauhan has no successor to take Bisleri to the next level. He previously sold brands such as Thums Up, Gold Spot and Limca to Coca-Cola. 

India's largest packaged water company, Bisleri, is expected to have a turnover of Rs 250 crore and a profit of Rs 220 crore in FY2023. The sale of  Bisleri is a "painful" decision, but Tata Group will "manage and manage it better," Chauhan told his ET. 

 "I like Tata's culture of values ​​and integrity, so I made the decision despite attacks from other interested buyers," he added. 

 Chauhan holds no minority interest in the company. He will refocus and invest in environmental and philanthropic causes such as water harvesting and plastic recycling. 

Coca-Cola purchased Chauhan and his brother Prakash's entire portfolio in 1993, according to ET. In addition to Thums Up and Limca, this included brands like Citra, RimZim and Maaza. TCPL sells bottled mineral water under the brand names Himalayan and Tata Copper Plus. 

 “I don't even know what I'm going to do with it (money), but let me be clear. This was a business I was passionate about building and is still run today by people who are just as passionate.” 

 In 1965 Bisleri was founded in Mumbai as an Italian brand. it was done. Chauhans acquired the company in 1969. Today, it has over 122 facilities and his 4,500 distributors in India and neighboring countries.
