Govinda Naam Mera is an instant crowd pleaser. Posters, teasers and trailers for the movie have only heightened the chatter and excitement surrounding the project. Now the icing on the proverbial cake is in the form of the new song Bijli, in which Kiara Advani and Vicky Kaushal dance in typical Bollywood style. It's arrived... The energetic track features Kiara and Vicki's intense dance moves, full of animated expressions and a large group of dancers in the background. Vicky Kaushal also plays the role of a backup dancer in the film, while Kiara Advani plays his girlfriend. Bijli was composed by the duo Sachin-Jigar and sung by Mika Singh, Neha Kakkar and Sachin-Jigar. The lyrics are by Vayu. The song was choreographed by Ganesh Acharya.
Vicki Kaushal shared the song in an Instagram post, writing, "Time to groove to the most electrifying song of the season! #Bijli Song is out!" dropped emoji.
Govinda Naam Mera's trailer features our hero as a dancer as his wife's girlfriend Gauri (Bhumi Pednekar) is having an affair with a penniless back-up girlfriend. She also hits him on occasion. If he pays her £200 million, she will just divorce Govinda. Meanwhile, Kiara Advani plays Govinda's girlfriend Suk. An unlikely trio becomes embroiled in a murder case. Kiara Advani, who shared the trailer, said, "Kahani ek, twisted aur turn anek! Murder, mystery, plenty of thrills and masala guaranteed." and Laxman Utekar's next project with Sara Ali Khan. Bhumi Pednekar has The Lady Killer and another untitled project with Arjun Kapoor and Rakul Preet Singh. Kiara Advani will star in Ram Charan's next film, with Sathya Prem Ki Kata co-starring Kartik Aryan.
Govinda Naam Mera was directed by Shashank Khaitan and produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions. It will be released on December 16th on the Disney Hotstar OTT platform.
